Our Story
For over 20 years, Jill Simons and Sheri Rowell have operated "Reruns Are Fun" in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
"We were raised in Shreveport, graduated school in Shreveport and our families still live in Shreveport," - Jill Simons
According to Jill, she was first introduced to the idea while living in Tennessee in the 90's. A friend introduced her to consignment and she immediately knew Shreveport needed something similar. On a visit home, Jill approached Sheri with the idea and she agreed. Reruns Are Fun was born.
From starting in a household garage, Reruns Are Fun has grown to be one of the major staples in the Shreveport-Bossier City Area.
"We started in Sheri's garage as a weekend type thing and we've grown from there. We've been all over the city. Because it's a short term sale it's hard to find space but this year we will be at 9400 Ellerbe Road Drive, Shreveport at Grace Community. "If anyone were to tell me 25 years ago that I would still be doing this, I would call them crazy. We feel all that participate and/or shop with Reruns benefit in various ways."
The original idea for Reruns Are Fun was to provide children's clothes at reduced costs; however, in that limited scope of services, Jill realized several of their customers had "outgrown" them. With that in mind, in 2008, Jill and Sheri launched Home Runs-consignment items for the home.
